The traditional symbol for Libra is the figure of Justice. In this re-interpretation "Justice" is taken from a painting by John Waterhouse. She sits on her mirrored throne, shaded by ears of wheat (one of Libra's associations) whilst a gecko suns itself beside her (lizards and small reptiles are considered to be Libran creatures).
The box is painted bronze and has been distressed to give a vintage feel. It is made from wood and measures 16x16x8 cm and has a metal clasp and hinges. The filigree metal corners are in antique bronze, as are the filigree plates on the sides of the box.
The interior of the box is painted powder blue (one of the colours associated with the sign of Libra), and there is a sprinkling of confetti in the base. Inside the lid is the Libran constellation, set out in tiny bronze stars across a backdrop of the night sky.
The box tag has the word "charming" written on it (one of Libra's attributes), and a sun charm attached with a silky blue ribbon.
The exterior base of the box is felted.
As with all Sisters of the Moon Memory Boxes, this box comes with a numbered authentication card. The Zodiac Boxes are numbered by sign. There is also a card enclosed with the main attributes for this sign.
